HOW IT WORKS
Electronic sensors in the field measure and report data; that data is viewable in your dashboard. The AgriLynk system is capable of monitoring nearly any sensor with an electronic output.
Our system enables remote irrigation control, either manually or with a timer. The advanced scheduler can be programmed to follow a simple schedule, or use advanced features that allow irrigation only if the moisture level drops below your settings — and turn off automatically when the soil moisture reaches your preferred level. AgriLynk will send you alerts via text and email when your thresholds are reached.
AgriLynk can monitor:
- Soil moisture
- Reservoirs and well water depth (over 1,000 ft. below the surface)
- Well and municipal water flows
- Pressures in your irrigation lines or other critical areas
- Temperatures (air, soil, compost piles, refrigerated spaces, and more)

AgriLynk’s story begins over 15 years ago with Troy Conner, a cut flower and greens grower in Southern California. Troy faced challenges managing his farm’s field crops efficiently. With water and labor costs rising, manual testing of each field’s soil moisture to determine irrigation times was both time-consuming and inefficient. Mechanical soil tensiometers were great but they required a tremendous amount of maintenance and monitoring. The existing electronic systems lacked the flexibility needed and were too expensive.
Knowing there had to be a better way, Troy began to piece together his own system but soon realized he needed someone with a high level of expertise in electrical engineering, software development, and manufacturing. As fate would have it, Troy’s close friend Don Vaniman, whom he had been working with for the past 10 years on a project to grow vegetables for local rescue missions and food pantries, happened to be a highly-skilled engineer and owner of a manufacturing company, sharing Troy’s passion for innovation.
With Don’s expertise in the development and production of sophisticated electronic and mechanical systems, progress on the project soared. Their goal was to develop a system that any farmer could afford, bringing the latest technology to their fingertips. The result was a complete system that provided wireless monitoring and controls, empowering farmers to make informed decisions based on real-time data.
