Water Well Remote Monitoring System for Agriculture
Track your water levels, depth, flow rate and draw down. Get alerts when you're low.
AgriLynk’s Remote Well Monitoring System lets you keep eyes on your well’s performance in real time—no need to send someone out to check it. Whether you’re managing deep groundwater pumps, variable production wells, or monitoring drawdown rates, our rugged, pressure-based sensors deliver accurate well depth and pump status data straight to your phone or computer.
Built for ag operations of all sizes, it works seamlessly with existing AgriLynk setups and runs fully off-grid.

Frequently Asked Questions
How does AgriLynk measure water levels in wells?
AgriLynk uses a pressure-based sensor installed inside the well, typically a few feet above the pump. The sensor measures the water column above it by detecting the pressure exerted by the water. From that, we calculate the real-time water depth in the well—both when the pump is off (static level) and during pumping (dynamic level).
What is drawdown?
Drawdown is a normal hydraulic effect — it refers to the difference between the static water level (when the well is at rest) and the pumping water level (how far the water level drops while the pump is running). It’s not inherently bad, but excessive or unmanaged drawdown can become a problem:
-
It can cause the pump to pull air if the water drops too close to the intake
-
Over time, it can stress the aquifer, reduce recovery rate, or in extreme cases contribute to formation collapse or clogging, especially in underdeveloped or poorly constructed wells
How does AgriLynk protect against excessive drawdown?
If the water drops too close to the pump intake, the system can automatically shut the pump off, allowing the well to recover before restarting. That helps protect the pump, extend equipment life, and avoid dry-run damage—all while keeping you informed from wherever you are.
Can AgriLynk detect when my pump shuts off or loses flow?
Yes. AgriLynk continuously monitors both flow rate and water level, so it can detect when your pump shuts off, fails to start, or stops moving water as expected. If flow unexpectedly drops to zero—or doesn’t start when scheduled—you’ll get a text or email alert right away.
This helps you catch issues like tripped breakers, clogged intakes, stuck valves, or pump failures before they cost you water, time, or crop stress. You can also review historical flow trends to spot performance issues before they turn into emergencies.
Will AgriLynk work with my variable frequency drive (VFD)?
Yes. AgriLynk works alongside pumps controlled by VFDs with no problem. Since we monitor actual water flow and pressure, not just whether the pump is powered on, we can detect performance issues even if the pump is running at partial speed.
Whether your VFD is ramping the pump up gradually, throttling it back to match demand, or shutting it off completely, AgriLynk keeps you informed with real-time data and alerts—so you know how your well is performing, not just whether the pump is on.
